The Learning First Alliance is pleased to announce the results of their recent elections.

Public Schools Week is an annual, week-long celebration to honor the invaluable contributions and achievements of educators, administrators, board members, and support professionals in our public schools and the communities they serve. #PSW24 is led by the Learning First Alliance (LFA) a coalition of 13 national education groups with a collective membership exceeding 10 million.

The Learning First Alliance has elected Jill Cook, CAE, executive director of the American School Counselor Association, as chair of its Board of Directors for the 2023-24 term. Frederick Brown, president and CEO of Learning Forward, has been elected secretary/treasurer, and L. Earl Franks, executive director of the National Association of Elementary School Principals and 2022-23 LFA chair, will serve on the executive committee as immediate past president.

The American Institutes for Research (AIR) and the Learning First Alliance (LFA) proudly present a three-part podcast series on student safety, engagement and equity, produced by David Osher, Vice President and Institute Fellow at AIR and Richard Long, Executive Director at LFA.

The National Center for School Mental Health and the Learning First Alliance announce the debut of Mental Health Matters: An Educator Resource Hub, a hub designed to support the educator community in identifying and addressing student mental health challenges.

The Learning First Alliance, a partnership of national education groups, is designating May 1 - June 16 Graduation and Grade Promotion Season to recognize students' educational achievements and highlight the impact of educational staff in helping them to succeed. #WeAre2023.

The Learning First Alliance has elected L. Earl Franks, Ed.D., CAE, executive director of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), as chair of its Board of Directors for the 2022-23 term. Jill Cook, executive director of the American School Counselor Association, was elected secretary/treasurer, and Keith R. Kruger, CEO of CoSN (the Consortium for School Networking) and 2021-22 LFA chair, will serve on the executive committee as immediate past president.
