Public Schools Week 2020

Join Learning First Alliance and Our Partners to Celebrate Public Schools

Members of the Learning First Alliance have just celebrated Public Schools Week from February 24 to 28, 2020. Stay tuned for more information about plans for Public Schools Week 2021.

Public Schools Week is a designated week for administrators, teachers, specialists, teacher educators, parents and school board members to host events for their communities and reach out to lawmakers, businesses, and other community members to discuss the importance of public education. Public Schools Week brings together LFA members, educators, parents and many others across the country to show the strength—and potential—of our nation’s public schools and our students’ futures.

Below are materials from Public Schools Week 2020 that are incorporated into the #PublicSchoolProud campaign.

Public Schools 2019 recap

During Public Schools Week 2019, educators and community members marked the week with events and outreach to their communities. In Washington, a bipartisan group of lawmakers spoke out on the importance of a strong public education system for our country’s future economic strength, and members of the House and Senate marked the week with resolutions of support.
