Improving
the No Child Left Behind Act.
NSBA submitted a comprehensive proposal to improve NCLB. H.R.
648, submitted by Rep. Don Young (R-AK-At Large), fully tracks
NSBA's draft legislation to strengthen accountability for improving
the academic performance of children enrolled in the nation's
public schools. Building on the major reforms on NCLB, H.R.648
offers improvements that address many of the unintended consequences
of the federal legislation while holding states and schools destricts
